CROWNING CEREMONY
SATURDAY 1st MAY 2010
Millennium Meadow
This was held in conjunction with the wonderful May Day Celebrations and Maypole Dancing on the tranquil Meadow where there was also a range of other attractions, including a BBQ and Belly dancing.
Following the Crowning of the new Carnival Queen events were held at the Gill Nethercott Centre (see below).
- 11.00 Practice May Pole Dancing
- 1.00 May Day begins 'gates open'
- 2.00 Crowning of new Queen followed by Dancing and Games
- 2.30 Irish Dancing Demonstration
- 3.00 'Royal Party' to be escorted to Gill Nethercott Centre
- 3.30 Official ribbon cutting for new Town Website by Carnival Queen
- 3.45 New Town Community Website launch and demonstrtions
- 4.15 New AV system demonstration
- 4.30 'Up' Disney-Pixar family movie.
