CARNIVAL PRINCESS SELECTION

Eleanor takes the title

Once again the panel of judges had a hard time choosing from the entrants
The selection for the Princess took place at a free disco at the Gill Nethercott centre aimed at the younger age group (6-11) and also organised by the Festival Committee. Nine eager entrants, dressed to impress, gave the judges a tough job reaching a final decision.
However, keen Irish dancing competitor, Eleanor Williams, age 7,was chosen as this year's Princess. She states that she enjoys dressing up, having fun and has really enjoyed taking part in the Festival over the past two years.
